Jacob and Lucille Feichter Jacob and Lucille (Bauman) Feichter are celebrating 75 years of wedded bliss on October 3, 2016. Lucille hails from Napoleon, Ohio, and as a recent graduate of International Business College, came to Crescent Avenue United Methodist Church where she met Jacob in Sunday School. They were married at the church on October 3, 1941 and Lucille sang alto in the choir for 39 years. Lucille worked for the WWII Draft Board, served on PTA and church committees, in Toast Mistresses, as Boy and Girl Scout leader, as President of the Indiana Society Colonial Dames XVII Century and has been a member of Maysville Merrymakers for 67 years. Jacob is a 99 year resident of Allen County, Ind., and served in the Air Force during WWII. Professionally, he has been with Feichter, Realtors for 70 years and has contributed to the real estate industry in many ways. He served as President of Upstate Alliance of Realtors and is a Hall of Fame Realtor . Jacob has continued to contribute to our community by providing housing and the American Dream to more than 400 families, often selling with as little as a $300 down payment and $300 per month. Jacob amassed the land on which Old Fort Wayne now sits. Jacob is honored to be an Allen County torch bearer in the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay. Daughter, Dr. Lucille Harvey (Bill) is retired and living in Wisconsin. Daughter Kay Feichter-Thistlethwaite (John) works with Jacob in the family business along with nephew Dennis and nieces Becky and Malorie. The Feichters have three grandchildren: (Bill, David (Justina), Katrina (Dan), and six great-grandchildren (Noah, Luke, Margaret, Mary, Seneca, and Tripp). In addition to the joy of family and traveling, the last 75 years have been a wonderful and truly blessed period of their lives.
