A Fort Wayne woman faces prostitution charges after she allegedly agreed to take money from an undercover police officer in return for sexual favors this week.
Schwala M. Royal, 37, is charged with two felony counts of prostitution, including one for having previously pleaded guilty to the same crime, according to court documents filed Friday.
According to the documents, an undercover Fort Wayne Police detective was driving his car near Fairfield Avenue and Walnut Street on Tuesday when he noticed Royal walking around the area. When he stopped to make small talk with Royal, she freely got in his car, then kept groping him, according to the documents.
She later accepted the detective's offer to pay $60 for a sex act but asked to be let out of the vehicle after spotting what she thought was a police car, according to the documents. After the detective dropped Royal off, another officer arrested her. She was being held this week on $2,500 bond.
