Snider ends Homestead’s perfect season in OT

FORT WAYNE — Snider handed Homestead its first loss of the season, topping the Spartans 71-66 in overtime in a boys basketball game Friday.

Stephen Halsted and Germaine Robinson scored 15 points to lead the Panthers to the home victory. Reggie Blackmon had 11 points. Robinson scored five points in the overtime. The Panthers outscored the Spartans 11-6 in overtime.

Nick Gamble scored 20 points for Homestead (19-1). Snider improved to 7-10.

WHITKO 65, WAYNE 63: Logan Irwin scored 36 points as the Wildcats won at home. Alex Stoddard scored 15 points. Justin Mitchell and Tony Wright-Lake scored 13 points for Wayne.

NORTH SIDE 50, CARROLL 37: Quilyn Howard-Upshaw had 16 points for the Redskins in a home win. Andy Bachman scored 12 points. Jonathan McKeeman scored 10 points for Carroll.

DEKALB 52, GARRETT 43: Austin Macy scored 22 points for the visiting Barons. Adison Daub scored 12 points. Drake Landes scored 24 points for Garrett.

BISHOP DWENGER 43, EAST NOBLE 37: Michael Kindler had 10 points for the visiting Saints. Troy Blair led East Noble with 14 points.

ANGOLA 60, EASTSIDE 45: Simon Brown scored 17 points for the Hornets in a home win. Aaron Lloyd added 14 points. Austen Bow scored 17 points for Eastside.

CONCORDIA 65, HERITAGE 49: Marq Rogers led the visiting Cadets with 13 points. Nate Scheumann scored 10 points for Heritage.

CHURUBUSCO 58, FAIRFIELD 46: Tyler Arrowsmith scored 15 points for the Eagles in a home win.

LEO 94, LAKEWOOD PARK 81: Gage Corner had 32 points for the Lions in a home win. Sam Waters had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Blake Mann led Lakewood Park with 23 points.

COLUMBIA CITY 72, MANCHESTER 31: Drew Burnsworth and Derek Hinen scored 17 points for the Eagles in a home win. Matt Rethlake had 13 points.

NORWELL 101, WOODLAN 60: Five players reached double figures in scoring for the Knights in a home win. Josh Van Meter scored 21 points. Kadin Gerig led Woodlan with 18 points.

BLUFFTON 60, BELLMONT 50: Chandler Prible scored 13 points for the visiting Tigers. Nick Fuelling had 11 points for Bellmont.

FREMONT 58, CENTRAL NOBLE 55: Tyler Jenkins scored 24 points for visiting Fremont. Alex Vice had 24 points for Central Noble.

BLACKHAWK CHRISTIAN 70, WABASH 57: Matt Kaplanis and Joey Morlan scored 13 points for the visiting Braves.
