The News-Sentinel interviewed Sen. Jean Leising (R-Oldenburg) following a IHSAA town hall meeting Tuesday to discuss class basketball. Leising introduced a bill during the 2011 legislative session that would eliminate class basketball. However, the bill did not receive a committee hearing during the session and never reached the Senate floor for a vote. Check out this video interview with Leising as she discusses how more legislation to end class basketball could emerge during the 2012 legislative session -- including a possible resolution requesting a state referendum on class basketball.
