INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police say two people were fatally shot early Sunday morning after a rap concert on the city's northwest side.
Investigators tell WISH-TV the two victims may have been among a crowd leaving a nightclub that hosted the concert.
Indianapolis police were called to the shooting near the Cloud 9 Club about 2:40 a.m. Sunday after receiving multiple 911 calls about a person being shot inside a vehicle. Police had been posted around the club before the shooting due to concerns of violence.
When officers arrived, they found two persons inside a car with gunshot wounds. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and the second died later at a hospital.
Homicide investigators and the coroner's office are attempting to identify both victims and notify their families.
