Hey, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, here's an idea. How about having a dedicated lane or lanes for “interstate commuters” only. That way we will stay out of your stop-and-go mess.

Here is a salute to all the churchgoing bigots, who profess to believe one thing while with their friends but are really two-faced when it comes to putting the rubber to the road and forgiving others' inadequacies and problems.

I'm a devout Christian. It's my opinion that President Obama violated many of my constitutional and religious rights. What's next? Will he want to tattoo “666” on my forehead?

Social Security disability. When you receive disability, you don't get Medicare for 24 months. I guess you go without doctor's care and medicine. Maybe the system hopes you die within the 24 months, then they won't have to pay you any more.

Please, Mayor (Paul) Helmke. Be our mayor again. The graffiti is becoming quite rampant in the city. We need our anti-graffiti committee back to do away with the ugly gang markings. Mayor Helmke cared how the city looked. Not what he could build to make him look good.

“The devil is in the details.” GOP voters need to read carefully about the Ryan Budget and the party's plans for our country moving forward, especially if you are elderly, disabled or lower income.

Even as the ribbon was being cut, it was very disappointing to hear some individuals complain that the new MLK Bridge fell far short of properly honoring Mr. King. Reminds me of a child at Christmas who is on to the next gift without spending any time appreciating what they have already received.

Why do we always remember 9/11, when, year after year, the news media do not remember D-Day and Pearl Harbor?

Why is the secretary of commerce driving a Lexus? What is wrong with this picture?

So we've got voter roll purging shenanigans in Florida again, just in time for a presidential election. Typical. If we get a repeat of 2000 this November, there will be rioting in the streets!
