Fort Wayne Ballet will host an exclusive showing of the documentary film “Joffrey: Mavericks of American Dance” at 4 p.m. June 30 at the Auer Center for Arts and Culture, 300 E. Main St. Jeremy Blanton and Kim Sagami, two Joffrey Ballet veterans and guest teachers in the Summer Intensive program, will view the film and participate in the post-film chat about the famed dance company. A multiple-flavor popcorn buffet will be provided by Kernel Coladas Gourmet Popcorn, Columbia City.
The New Haven Parks and Recreation Department's New Haven Farm Market will hold a grand opening 4-7 p.m. today at Schnelker Park, 956 Park Ave. in New Haven.
Local vendors will be there selling produce, handmade crafts and other items, a news release said.
Some of the area's best amateur car drivers will compete in the Fort Wayne Sports Car Club of America Solo Event from 10 a.m. to 4 p..m. Sunday in the Memorial Coliseum parking lot.
During the lunch break, a group of amateur and semi-pro drifter drivers will slide their cards around the race course for a drifting demonstration, a news release said.
Everyone on site must sign an SCCA insurance waiver, have a valid driver's license to compete, and, if under age 18, must have minor waiver signed by both parents.
