AMARILLO, Texas (AP) — Authorities say they found instructional videos on how to create an explosive acid in the apartment of a Saudi man accused of trying to build a bomb.

The West Texas trial of Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari (KAH'-lihd ah-lee-EHM' al-duh-SAHR'-ee), a former Texas Tech chemical engineering student, entered its third day Tuesday. He is charged with attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.

Investigators say targets he researched included the Dallas home of former President George W. Bush and nuclear plants.

Jurors watched a video of a man speaking in Arabic about the chemicals needed to create picric acid. Investigators say they found the video in Aldawsari's Lubbock apartment.

Authorities also shared a journal entry in which Aldawsari allegedly said he wanted to use chemicals "in missions to please God."
