ST. PAUL — A 19-year-old Indianapolis man has drowned in a lake at the same Decatur County campground where another Indianapolis teenager drowned this month.

Conservation officers say Derick Gentry drowned in the lake at Hidden Paradise campground in St. Paul, about 35 miles southeast of Indianapolis.

Officers tell WISH-TV and WTHR-TV that Gentry went for a swim Wednesday afternoon with two other people and was 10 yards from a dock when he began struggling. They say the other two were unable to rescue Gentry. Officers say Gentry was underwater for about 30 minutes.

Fifteen-year-old DuJuan Thompson of Indianapolis drowned there June 10.

WISH says the campground does not use a lifeguard. Instead it uses a "water watchman" who monitors the lake. Officers say campers must sign a release form before swimming.
