The Fort Wayne Philharmonic just announced that, because of the extreme heat forecast Friday, it has moved its "Barbecue of Seville" concert Friday to Auer Performance Hall in Rhinehart Music Center at IPFW.

The pre-concert picnic and concert has been scheduled for Foellinger Outdoor Theatre in Franke Park.

The concert is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m.

People originally had been invited to arrive about 5:30 p.m. to picnic before or during the concert. Audience members now will not be able to bring picnic dinners into Auer Performance Hall, a philharmonic news release said.

Picnic tables will be set up outside Rhinehart Center for those who wish to bring a meal to eat before the concert, the news release said.

The orchestra's performance of the "Barbecue of Seville" scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at Oakwood Inn on Lake Wawasee will be performed as scheduled, barring any unforeseen developments, the news release said.

The concerts will feature light classical music by Mozart, Brahms, Dvořák, Strauss, and others. Tickets for the Fort Wayne concert are $12 for adults and $6 for ages 18 and younger. They are available by calling The Phil box office at 481-0777 or at the door.

More information about the concert is available at www.fwphil.org.
