A Better Fort in making its next event – House4Ahouse, a night filled with house music and its disco-styled rhythms by local talent – a night to remember.

House4AHouse is a local house music event put on by A Better Fort, 3 Rivers Federal Credit Union, and the Three Rivers Festival. H4AH is not only a concert, but also a charity to raise money and awareness for the Mad Anthonys' Children's Hope House organization. Shane Araujo, co-founder of A Better Fort, was so inspired by the Hope House – which provides accommodations for families of critically ill children who are hospitalized – and decided to design an event to help it.

“I went to a dance-a-thon at Saint Francis that was to raise money for them (Hope House)… I had to get involved,” said Araujo, who runs Panzit.com, an online distributor of power transmission parts.

Not only does this event raise money for a good cause and showcase the local electronic dance music talent but Araujo feels that downtown, and A Better Fort, could always benefit from being put into the spotlight.

“I wanted to promote downtown during a time where we have so many people down here that usually aren't… none of this would have happened if it wasn't for Jack Hammer from the Three Rivers Festival committee,” Araujo said.

The event is taking place on what is being referred to as the “SoCal,” or the 800 block of South Calhoun Street. A Better Fort is shutting down the block for this live fusion of electrifying beats to awaken your inner dancer. A Better Fort, which previously produced “HipHop4theCity” – a rap video by local artists to promote Fort Wayne – is always looking to recruit volunteers to further its cause of promoting Fort Wayne and retaining its young talent.
