16-year-old reportedly found dead in housing addition pond

A 16-year-old boy was reportedly found dead this afternoon in a southwest Allen County housing addition pond.

According to a news release from the Allen County Sheriff's Department, officers from the sheriff's department and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources were called to the Hamilton Meadows addition around 2 p.m. The officers were told that the boy, whose identity has not been released, was found in a pond in the housing addition.

Hamilton Meadows is located off Illinois and Noyer roads.

The release said the boy lived in Fort Wayne and was reported missing by family members on Friday.

The case remains under investigation.
