•The Community Memorial Hospital Foundation awarded a $1,500 scholarship to Patience Doctor of Woodburn. She is completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at IPFW.
•Ivy Tech Corporate College will bring the Disney Institute to Fort Wayne. “Building a Culture of Healthcare Excellence,” Disney Institute's newest professional development program, will be offered Oct. 24 at the Holiday Inn. Cost is $359 by Sept. 21 and $399 afterward, and includes all course materials, a continental breakfast and lunch. Employers sending five or more participants receive $20 off each registration. •Registration for FWCS' 2012-2013 school year will be held 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 3, and noon-7 p.m. Aug. 6 at all schools.
Students must register at the school they will attend, even if they attended that school last year. Parents should bring all necessary contact information, and those new to the district should bring vaccination records, birth certificates and proof of residency.
Many of the forms parents will need to fill out are available at www.fortwayneschools.org. Click on “How to Enroll” and select “Student Enrollment Forms.” Parents may print them out and complete them at home and bring them to registration to save time on registration day.
Parents not able to register during the set registration times should contact the school their child will be attending to make other arrangements.
