Hmmm, water problems, don't tell that to … (several southwest businesses and organizations) who are watering on what seems to be a daily basis. Why should I care then about restrictions on watering?

With the big brush pile at Shoaff Park catching on fire, perhaps the city can expedite its pick up of piles of brush piles waiting on neighborhood streets. With this dry weather, a flick from a cigarette could easily set a pile on fire and it would spread down the street. I realize the city has a lot to do after the storm; just something to consider.

The new norm is apparently 10 mph or more over the speed limit, whether in-town or on the highway. Listen: Speed limit signs are not recommendations. Also, the next time you speed to the next light, look in your mirror or to the next lane. Those you passed will likely get there while you wait.

You love the Constitution but hate the Supreme Court. You want one-party rule. When you are in power, are you going to lock up the opposition like all of the other countries do that are run by one group? Better get out your history books and read a little.

To doctors in Fort Wayne: If you need to schedule a patient for a special procedure or have them see a specialist, please have your staff consult the patient prior to scheduling the appointment. I have now had three situations … where I have had to reschedule other appointments because a doctor's staff failed to consult me prior to scheduling a procedure or appointment.

Why aren't the Republicans who endlessly demanded President Obama's birth certificate calling for Mitt Romney to release more than one year of his tax returns? … American voters need to know the truth!

Republicans constantly claim we cannot raise taxes on the wealthy because they are the job creators. This is a fallacy. Jobs are created when there is demand for product. Businesses maximize profit and do not hire until they have to do so, that is, when they cannot meet demand for their product.

Joe Paterno's reputation can come back. It did for Bill Clinton who had a much worse sex scandal, was almost impeached and still is the darling of the liberal media. On July 9, … (a school) bus turned into our funeral procession on Lake Avenue, almost causing a wreck. The female driver stayed in our procession until we got to Coliseum Boulevard. I called the transportation director's office and left a message about what happened. No return call.
