PARTY TIME: Come celebrate a milestone at Foster Park's 100th Year Celebration. Postponed once due to storm damage, this event will offer activities 5-9:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Activities include a fun walk, picnic, kids' carnival, volleyball, tennis and pickleball on Friday and city park tours and an ice cream social (the latter is 1-3 p.m.) on Saturday. Some activities require a small fee.
Due to the limited parking in Foster Park, people are asked to park at the former Taylor University-Fort Wayne campus in the parking lots off Rudisill Boulevard and Lexington Avenue. They then can walk the short distance down Rudisill or Lexington to Foster Park. Only golfers and those needing handicapped parking spaces will be allowed to drive in Foster Park's entrance 4–9:30 p.m. Friday.

FUN AT THE RUN: The Fort Wayne Street Rod Association hosts the 38th annual Muddy River Run on Saturday, but the fun starts Friday with registration noon-7 p.m. and a kick-off cruise-in 7-10 p.m. at the IPFW campus, 2101 Coliseum Blvd. E. Events 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday include a car show, exhibits, kid and adult games, awards and more. Drivers will go on a cruise 1-2 p.m. through Fort Wayne. Proceeds benefit the Turnstone Center for Children and Adults with Disabilities and the IPFW Scholarship Endowment for the Disabled. Admission is free. DOWNTOWN FEST: The Fort Wayne Pride festival will bring music, food, games and more to Headwaters Park, Clinton and Superior streets. Organized by the local gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community, the event is open to all people.
The event includes vendors, live entertainment, a beer tent, food, a kids' area, a cornhole tournament and more. A first-ever Pride March will start at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Headwaters Park and move through downtown.
Hours are 7 p.m.-midnight Friday and noon-midnight Saturday. Admission for adults is $3 Friday and $5 Saturday; ages 14 and younger enter free both days.

DREAM ON: The Fort Wayne Civic Theatre's performance of “Dreamgirls” opens at 8 p.m. and runs through Aug. 12 at the Arts United Center, 303 E. Main St. The story shares the trials and triumphs of a trio getting into the music business during the 1960s. The play includes music from rock 'n' roll to disco, and has also won five Tony Awards. The show includes mild adult language and sexual situations.
Additional show times are 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5 and 12; and 8 p.m. Aug. 3-4 and 10-11.
