INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Star is selling the building it has called home for more than a century.
President and Publisher Karen Crotchfelt announced Friday that The Star will begin looking for a new location that better suits the size and needs of the media company in a digital age.
The newspaper reported the company is committed to remaining in downtown Indianapolis.
The Star has occupied its current headquarters on Pennsylvania Street since 1907. The newspaper has been printed at a separate production facility since 2002.
About 650 employees work at the Pennsylvania Street location.
The Star is owned by Virginia-based Gannett Co.
Crotchfelt says there is no timeline yet for a move.
