Felonies

The following people were recently booked into the Allen County Lockup on felony charges – either on preliminary charges after arrest or after being transported from another facility – or were formally charged with a felony in Allen County. Misdemeanor charges are also listed if the person is charged with a felony.

Demetrius King, 49, of the 4500 block of Kekionga Drive, was charged July 5 with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resisting law enforcement, driving while suspended and leaving the scene of an accident. He was released on his own recognizance.

Devean Darling, 19, of New Haven, was booked at 10:42 p.m. July 5 on a charge of receiving stolen auto parts. He was released on his own recognizance.

Jose Nieto, 29, of the 1600 block of Hobson Road, was booked at 12:38 p.m. July 6 on charges of driving while suspended and two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was released on his own recognizance.

Steven Richards, 37, of the 1800 block of Thompson Avenue, was booked at 1:06 p.m. July 6 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. He was released on his own recognizance.

Christopher Wheeler, 36, of the 9200 block of Norwich Court, was charged July 6 with strangulation, domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of a crime. He was being held in lieu of $4,000 bail.

Nathan Shroyer, 25, of the 1900 block of Harrison Street, was charged July 6 with being a habitual traffic violator. He was being held in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Drew Cagnet, 18, of the 6200 block of Headwaters Trail, was charged July 6 with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. She was being held in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Steven Crowell, 53, of the 4800 block of Bade Drive, was charged July 6 with driving while suspended and two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was released on his own recognizance.

Steven Wallace, 60, of the 6000 block of Buhr Drive, was charged July 6 with two counts of domestic battery. He was being held in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Jean Pearson, 53, of the 2100 block of Pontiac Street, was charged July 6 with battery and resisting law enforcement. She was being held in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Timothy Haney, 29, of the 3200 block of South Calhoun Street, was charged July 6 with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving while suspended. He was released on his own recognizance.

Nicholas Trout, 32, of the 10000 block of Verbena Lane, was booked at 2:32 p.m. July 6 on a habitual traffic violator charge. He was released on his own recognizance.

Amanda Bute, 34, of Antwerp, Ohio, was booked at 2:48 p.m. July 6 on two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. She was released on her own recognizance.

Steven Lavolpa, 44, of the 900 block of North Anthony Boulevard, was booked at 10:07 a.m. July 9 on charges of interfering with the reporting of a crime and two counts of battery. He was being held in lieu of $5,750 bail.

Anthony M. Newsome, 21, of the 3700 block of East Washington Boulevard, was booked at 10:18 a.m. July 9 on a theft charge. He was released on his own recognizance.

Shane D. Garner, 37, of Auburn, was booked at 10:30 a.m. July 9 on charges of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of paraphernalia and failure to stop after an accident. He was being held in lieu of $4,750 bail.

Ronald Williams, 52, of the 3200 block of Monroe Street, was charged July 9 with two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving while suspended. He was released on his own recognizance.

Nathaniel Rainer, 18, of the 2600 block of Fairfield View Place, was charged July 9 with resisting law enforcement and residential entry. He was being held in lieu of $3,250 bail.

Eddie Dunlap, 49, of the 2900 block of Euclid Avenue, was charged July 9 with invasion of privacy. He was being held in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Jermira Sanders, 19, of the 2400 block of Weiser Park Avenue, was booked at 6:30 p.m. July 9 with check fraud. She was released on her own recognizance.

Jason Riley, 32, of the 2800 block of James Street, was booked at 10:16 a.m. July 10 on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was being held in lieu of $5,750 bail.
