The fifth annual Cross N Dagger Event will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at Life Bridge Church, 12719 Corbin Road.
Events include a car and bike show, a street bike stunt show, prize giveaways, live bands, free food and indoor performances by Christian band Love and Death, with Brian “Head” Welch, former guitar player for metal group Korn, and Christian musician Lacey Mosley Sturm, formerly of the band Flyleaf, a news release said.
Illusionist David Laflin will perform in the children's area. Activities in the family area include a large slide, a rock wall, a mini-cycle track, moon walks, face painting, pony rides and more. In addition, there will be a video game trailer and hot air balloon rides (weather permitting).
The day begins at 9 a.m. with free registration for all cars and bikes. The first 100 registered will receive a free Cross N Dagger T-shirt.
People's Choice trophies also will be awarded to the top six bikes and the top six cars. Trophies will be awarded to the three “Loudest Pipes.”
Indoor activities begin at 9:30 a.m. with a more traditional service featuring Lacey Mosley Sturm. The 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. performances will feature Lacey Mosley Sturm followed by Love and Death with Brian “Head” Welch.
Free food, including hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches, will be provided starting at 11 a.m.
The bands playing outside throughout the day include: Brother, Ballenger, The Jondo Trio and The Surrendering.
About 3,000 people attended the event last, and organizers expect a larger crowd this year, the news release said.
