“The Twelve,” a unique musical about the life of Jesus Christ, will be presented this weekend and next at Heartland Church, 1025 Vance Ave.
The musical, which premiered in August 2010, tells the story of Jesus from the apostles' perspective, a news release said.
“The Twelve” was created by musician Dave Frincke and lyricist Joseph P. Gudel, a news release said. Frincke is on the pastoral staff at Heartland Church, and is a Lutheran pastor and the director of campus ministries at Concordia Lutheran High School.
The musical will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Aug 10-11, and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and children ages 5-18, and free for ages 4 and younger. A family price (parents and children) of $30 is available; tickets for groups of 10 or more are $8 each.
