China's Chen Long wins Olympic bronze in badminton

LONDON (AP) — Chen Long of China won the Olympic bronze medal Sunday in men's badminton, beating Lee Hyun-il of South Korea 21-15, 15-21, 21-15.

Lee lost the badminton bronze-medal match for the second straight Olympics.

Lee lost to another Chinese player, Chen Jin, in Beijing and then retired. But South Korean officials persuaded him to play again to help the 2010 Thomas Cup team.
