I say a big thank you to the electric company and people around Fort Wayne who helped clean up after the storm.

A tip of the hat to Raquel Foster, who handles information for the Fort Wayne Police Department. She does a difficult job with efficiency, compassion and grace.

Tip of the hat to the staff at Applebee's at Coventry. They are always pleasant, and I am more than willing to provide at least a 20 percent tip for their great service

On July 19, my husband and I went to Logan's Restaurant to celebrate his 92nd birthday and our 60th wedding anniversary. When we were nearly finished with our meal, our lovely waitress asked if we would like to have them sing for us. He nodding his head no, and I said sure, so she introduced us and then they sang. When they were finished a wonderful couple came to our table and paid our bill. Needless to say, we were overwhelmed at such a kind and wonderful offer. I had asked them their names but shocked that we couldn't remember. You know who you are, and we just want to thank you again for making a very memorable evening for us.
