Another food truck is about to hit the streets of Fort Wayne.
Partners Daniel Campbell and Andrew Smith are introducing their food truck, Affine, to the city this week. It debuted at the Wine and Cheese Festival on Saturday at Headwaters Park.
Affine will specialize in Vietnamese-style sandwiches that Campbell characterized as Asian barbecue on French baguette bread. They plan to do three variations: smoked, braised pork; smoked chicken; and duck confit. They'll buy their meat and poultry from Gunthorpe Farms in Lagrange.
Sides will be homemade potato chips with various seasonings, Campbell said.
“This has all come about very quickly,” Campbell said. Until Friday, he was kitchen manager at the Joseph Decuis Emporium in Roanoke.
“Andrew and I are accomplished chefs,” Campbell said. Their plan is to prepare simple foods, “executed very well using superior ingredients.”
Since they're just getting started, he doesn't have a schedule in place yet. Like them on Facebook to get updates on where they'll be.

Satek took Concordance Gold for its 101 Lakes Red and its 2011 Kreibaum Bay Vidal Blanc Ice Wine.
Concordance Gold medals are awarded when the entire judging panel unanimously awards the wine a Gold Medal.
Taking a good thing a step further, Dairy Queen plans to introduce Orange Julius Originals and Premium Fruit Smoothies to all 4,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada by November. Currently, more than 800 Dairy Queens, mostly in U.S. and Canadian malls, already carry Orange Julius beverages.
