The brakes of a tractor-trailer rig caught fire Friday morning prompting the closure of southbound Interstate 469 for about a half hour, police said.
No one was injured in the fire that burned the trailer near the 14 mile marker, near Wayne Trace, southeast of Fort Wayne, said Cpl. Tim Dolby of the Indiana State Police.
The southbound lanes were closed about 7 a.m., but one lane was opened about a half hour later.
By 10:45 a.m., the scene was cleared, and all lanes were open, police said.
