Woman admits guilt in store theft ring

A Fort Wayne woman admitted Friday to being part of a theft ring that stole thousands of dollars in merchandise from area Walmart and Kroger stores.

Vickie L. Grawcock, 41, of the 1300 block of High Street, pleaded guilty to a single charge of corrupt business influence. When she is sentenced next month, she will be sentenced to two years on home detention or work release and two years’ probation.

Along with Earnest Grawcock, 46, of the same address, and Craig Mitchell Schowe, 45, she would go into the stores and steal video game systems, games or meat. They would sell the games to video game stores, according to court documents.

The cases against the other two defendants are pending in Allen Superior Court.
