•The Foundation For Art and Music in Education, Fort Wayne, has moved to the Auer Center for Arts and Culture at 300 E. Main St. which is home to Arts United, Artlink, the Fort Wayne Ballet and Fort Wayne Trails, across the street from the Arts United Center and the Fort Wayne Museum of Art.
•Felderman Design-Build, Fort Wayne, has been awarded the design-build contract by Insite Real Estate for a 363,000-square-foot warehouse/distribution center for Calphalon, a Newell Rubbermaid company in Bowling Green, Ohio, and the design-build contract by Meijer for an extensive retrofit of an existing building for its new central fill facility off Profit Drive.
•DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse), Fort Wayne, has opened a 16,654-square-foot store next to the former Borders building at 4310 Coldwater Road at Coliseum Boulevard. The store employs 57 people.
•Statehouse, Indianapolis, State Rep. Dan Leonard (R-Huntington) recently congratulated the Jones (Huntington, 1860) and Schuman (Columbia City, 1854) families of Warren and Whitley counties for receiving the Hoosier Homestead Award. The award was presented by Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman and Agriculture Director Joe Kelsay at the Indiana State Fair. Both families received the Sesquicentennial award for over 150 years of ownership.
•Yo Yo Yogurt on Your Own, Fort Wayne, recently opened on the IPFW campus just inside the entrance to the Student Services Complex near Walb Student Union.
•Vera Bradley, Fort Wayne, presented a one-week pop-up shop at Isetan Shinjuku's “The Stage” Aug. 15-20. “The Stage” is a 700-square-foot raised space in the center of the first floor of the Isetan's flagship property. It has played host to many of the world's top brands.
