GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) — Olympic champion Gabby Douglas has a new title: author.

The double gold medalist will release her memoir, "Grace, Gold, and Glory: My Leap of Faith" in December as part of a two-book deal with Zondervan, a division of HarperCollins.

In a statement Thursday, Douglas says her memoir will include "a lot of stories" about gymnastics, as well as challenges she and her family faced. Douglas was just 14 when she moved halfway across the country to train with Liang Chow in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Douglas says, "I want people to read my story and say, 'If Gabby can do it, I can do it too. Anything is possible.'"

Douglas captured the all-around title at the London Olympics, the third straight American and first African-American to win gymnastics' biggest prize.
