A 17-year-old high school student was arrested Friday after police discovered marijuana in his possession, according to the Warsaw Police Department.

With the help of four police dogs, officers searched Edgewood and Lakeview middle schools. The dogs smelled drugs on bags in the industrial arts section of Lakeview, police said.

The bags belonged to the 17-year-old who attends Warsaw Community High School. The teen had been taking industrial arts classes at Lakeview, police said.

He was arrested and released to his guardians. Police did not identify him. Marijuana possession charges against him are pending.
