The public is invited to a National Diversity Day celebration Friday hosted by the Fort Wayne and Allen County human resources departments, along with the city's Metropolitan Human Relations Commission.

The event will run 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the lobby of the Ed Rousseau Centre – formerly the City-County Building – at 1 E. Main St.

A special presentation starting at 12 p.m. will feature remarks by Deputy Mayor Mark Becker and county Commissioners Linda Bloom, Therese Brown and Nelson Peters. Kenneth C. Christmon, associate vice chancellor for diversity and multicultural affairs at IPFW, will deliver the keynote speech.
