A student gardening club at Study Elementary has grown fresh vegetables to donate to the Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana.

Thursday afternoon they were busy picking another round, so far they have donated over 100 pounds of fresh vegetables to the Food Bank. This is the third year for the program. Third, fourth and fifth graders all participate in the garden club. One of their teachers, Mrs. Miller, said the only stipulation to be in the club is having transportation home after school. Miller said the club has proven popular and they currently have a waiting list to join.
