ANDERSON — A registered nurse and her daughter from central Indiana have been arrested on charges they illegally obtained and sold prescription painkillers.
Kelly Bolt told The Associated Press on Saturday that she and her mother, Paula Bolt, 60, surrendered on Thursday.
Anderson police Detective Joel Sandefur told the Herald Bulletin the women each face preliminary felony charges of dealing in a controlled substance and obtaining a controlled substance by fraud. Authorities allege Paula Bolt filled prescriptions of hydrocodone and then submitted fraudulent insurance claims.
Kelly Bolt, 41, denies the allegations and says investigators repeatedly refused her offer to take a polygraph test.
Her mother wasn’t immediately available for comment. Kelly Bolt’s attorney, David Alger, didn’t return a phone call seeking additional comment Saturday.
