The city of New Haven has released a screen capture from videotape that a parks employee says shows a pickup driver vandalizing Moser Park early Sunday morning.
The video shows a pickup entering Moser Park with its lights on at 12:11 a.m., according to a news release. The video shows the headlights going around repeatedly and then captures the truck leaving with its lights off at 12:17 a.m. There was extensive damage done to the grass area of the park.
The parks department employee discovered the damage and reported it to the New Haven Police Department on Monday morning, according to the release.
The pickup appears to be an older model Chevy or GMC 4X4 with a tool box across the front of the truck bed and three stickers on the rear window. The pickup has running boards and running lights across the roof of the cab. The truck appears to be lifted or higher than normal.
