Bluffton Road work to begin Thursday

FORT WAYNE – Rain has delayed work that will close a section of Bluffton Road for about two weeks.

The closure just south of Commercial Drive (between Airport Expressway and Lower Huntington Road), set to begin Wednesday, has been pushed back to Thursday, the Fort Wayne Traffic Engineering Department announced.

NIPSCO will perform maintenance on a high-pressure gas main that crosses Bluffton Road just south of Commercial Drive, the announcement said.

The official detour will use Lower Huntington Road and Airport Expressway.
