Shopping column: Real Deals home decor store now open in Roanoke

A new store selling home decor items at discount prices has opened in Roanoke.

Real Deals on Home Decor, a franchise, has opened at 212 E. Second St., Roanoke. It is the first Real Deals store in Indiana. Jacki and Bill Budrow are the owners. The store is open two days a week, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursdays and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays. This Saturday, the store celebrates its grand opening.

The store sells clocks, mirrors, lamps, metal wall art, garden decor, seasonal decor, candles, kitchen and bath decor, and more, including rustic mahogany furniture. Inventory changes weekly.

Roanoke event

Speaking of Roanoke, the town's Holiday Gift Extravaganza will be Nov. 9 and 10. Stores will host open houses, a shop hop and special foods so you can start your holiday shopping in small-town stores selling artsy gifts.

Market adds new vendors

The second Fort Wayne Farmers Market inside Parkview Field, at the corner of Douglas and Webster streets, will be 9 a.m.-noon Saturday. November's market will grow to 40 vendors. New items will include organic butter, pizza crusts, homemade crackers, homemade pasta (including gluten-free) and more.

Also new are gift certificates, available for purchase in $1 or $5 increments. The $1 certificates are for food only, and $5 certificates can be used anywhere at the market.

Sale benefits gym

The Hoosier Elite HEAT booster club is hosting a One Day One Stop Shopping Extravaganza 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the Hoosier Elite All-Star and Tumbling cheer gym, 5005 Industrial Road.

Vendors will include The Pampered Chef, Scentsy, Vault Denim, lia sophia, It's a Wrap, 31, Grace Adele handbags, Sports necklaces and more.

The sale is open to the public; proceeds benefit the Hoosier Elite HEAT cheer program.
