Book Notes: Author fair Thursday; local author releases new book

Author fair

An author fair takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday at Pontiac branch library, 2215 S. Hanna St.

New book

Local author W. Michael Walker, a former math teacher at Leo Junior-Senior High School, has released a new book, “The Bully Busters,” a novel about a brave middle-school boy who turns the tables on habitual bullies. It is available in print and/or ebook from www.Amazon.com, www.barnesandnoble.com, iTunes and iBookstore.

Adult book group

The adult book group meets at 2 p.m. Nov. 28 at Aboite branch library, 5630 Coventry Lane. “Team of Rivals” by Doris Kearns Goodwin is this month's book.

Book sale

Manchester Public Library will hold a sale of gently used books, CDs and videos 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Nov. 10 at 405 N. Market St., North Manchester. Information: 1-260-982-4773.

Books-n-Bagels

High school homeschoolers will meet at 10 a.m. Friday to discuss “Fever 1793” by Laurie Halse Anderson at the Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza.

Guys read

Girls read
