Two suspected house burglars were arrested Thursday after appliances they stole appeared on Craigslist, according to Warsaw police.

On Oct. 16, a break-in was reported at a house under construction in the Harrison Ridge addition of Warsaw. Several new appliances were taken, and within a day, the appliances were posted for sale on Craigslist, a classified advertising website.

Police went to a Warsaw home, owned by 24-year-old Justin Teel, and recovered the appliances Oct 17. At the time, Nathaniel Johnson, 26, of Pierceton was at Teel’s home to sell the appliances, police said.

Authorities suspect Teel, Johnson and possibly others took part in the theft. On Thursday, Teel and Johnson were each booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on a felony charge of burglary.

Teel posted a $10,000 bond to be released. Johnson was being held in lieu of $12,000 bail.
