The Fort Wayne Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that killed a dog inside a home.
Firefighters were called at 9:49 a.m. to 3904 Gaywood Ave. They arrived a minute later to saw smoke coming from the basement windows. They quickly put out the blaze. No one was injured. Animal Care & Control was alerted to remove the dog that was dead.
