Six youths ages 11 to 18 were injured in a crash on their way to Central Noble schools on Monday morning, and an Albion brother and sister were flown to a Fort Wayne hospital by helicopter.

A 1991 red Chevrolet Cavalier was going north on Long Lake Road when it stopped at Noble County Road 100 North and then collided with a minivan as the car entered the intersection shortly before 7:45 a.m., according to a statement issued by the county sheriff's department.

The statement said the Cavalier's driver, Samantha Carter, 18, and her brother, Wesley Carter, 17, were flown to a Fort Wayne hospital. Their conditions were not immediately available.

The 2002 Chrysler minivan, driven by Jennetta Calvelage, 40, was taking several children to school. Everyone in the minivan was treated at the scene, except for Hannah Calvelage, 11, who was taken to a Noble County hospital emergency room.
