Is Broadway ready for “Trapped in the Closet”? R. Kelly thinks so.

The superstar unveiled the latest chapters of his wacky video opera to a packed theater on Monday night and told the audience that he’s working to bring the series to the stage, and he hoped to appear in some performances.

Kelly didn’t put a timeline on when that may happen. In the meantime, fans of the cult classic will have to be satisfied with the latest installments in the musical tale, which premieres Friday on IFC.

‘Boss’ deposed

Starz TV network has decided not to give Kelsey Grammer another term as mayor of Chicago.

The cable network said Tuesday that it was canceling the drama “Boss” after two seasons. The show premiered to critical acclaim, starring Grammer as tyrannical Chicago mayor Tom Kane.

Starz says in a statement that although the network is proud of the show, it has “made the difficult decision to not proceed with ‘Boss.’ ” The move was a flip-flop for Starz, which renewed the show for a second season even before its first season began.

‘Fascinating’ list

TV newswoman Barbara Walters paid a visit Tuesday to the New Jersey Statehouse to talk with a man she finds “pleasant, smart, funny” and even “good-natured.”

Gov. Chris Christie is on her list this year of the “10 Most Fascinating People.” Her 90-minute special will air Dec. 12 on ABC.

Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas, “Family Guy” creator and upcoming Academy Awards host Seth MacFarlane, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and “50 Shades of Grey” author E.L. James are also on the list.
