More than 3,500 runners and walkers joined in the Galloping Gobbler 4- and 8-mile races Thanksgiving morning in Fort Wayne. Much of the race courses took participants through Lindenwood Cemetery, and those in the race treat it as everything from serious competition to an opportunity to don Pilgrim and poultry costumes.

Organizers said the race is the 19th-largest 4-mile race in the United States.
