FORT WAYNE -- It wasn't the big jackpot, but a Fort Wayne woman had a $40,000 winning ticket in Wednesday night's Powerball drawing.

The Hoosier Lottery said Barbara Wright had four of the first five numbers, plus the Powerball number.

The winning numbers in last night's drawing were: 5-16-22-23-29 PB: 6.

She increased her winnings by adding Power Play to her ticket for an extra dollar, the lottery said.

Sales nationwide drove Wednesday's jackpot up to a record $587.5 million. Two tickets – one sold in Arizona and one in Missouri – matched all six numbers and will split the jackpot, according to lottery officials.

The Hoosier Lottery said two $1 million tickets were sold in Indiana – matching the first five numbers, but not the Powerball number – in Vincennes and Highland.
