FORT WAYNE — Fort Wayne police are looking for help in finding a woman who used a gift card stolen during a break-in at a south-side church.

A burglary at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fort Wayne, 5310 Old Mill Road, was reported the morning of Nov. 15. Apparently the night before, someone pushed in an air conditioner and climbed through a window to get inside, police said.

The church office was ransacked, and several computers, a brand-new sound system, cash and gifts cards were taken. The loss totaled about $6,400, police said.

Some of the gift cards were used in the days after the break-in. One card for CVS pharmacy was spent at the CVS at 3918 S. Calhoun St., police said.

On Friday, investigators released surveillance photos of a woman who used that card the evening of Nov. 18. Detectives consider her a “person of interest” and want to speak with her, police said.

Anyone who can identify the woman is asked to call the Fort Wayne Police Department at 427-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 436-7867.
