An offensive drought in the third quarter knocked the Mad Ants off their game as they lost their first road game of the season.
The Iowa Energy beat the Ants 102-88 on Saturday night in Des Moines, Iowa, for their first win of the season. Fort Wayne fell to 2-3 and will be off until a road game at Springfield on Friday.
Darryl Partin led the Ants at Iowa with 17 points off the bench. Ron Howard added 13 and Tony Mitchell 12. JaJuan Johnson scored nine points with 14 rebounds while Walker Russell Jr. scored 10 points with eight assists.
The Ants trailed 52-46 at halftime, but were outscored 30-11 in the third quarter.
Chris Wright scored 19 points with 10 rebounds and nine assists to lead the Energy. Quincy Miller added 17 points and 12 rebounds.
