A tractor-trailer rig hauling sour cream caught fire Monday night on the Indiana Toll Road, according to an Angola Fire Department report.

Firefighters were called at 11:30 p.m. to the Eastpoint Indiana Toll Road site and found the tractor fully engulfed with flames extending into the trailer, the report said. They brought the fire under control in 20 minutes but the tractor-trailer rig was a total loss.

Damages are estimated at $145,000, the report said. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is undetermined, the report said.

The Angola Fire Department was assisted by the Fremont Fire Department, Metz Fire Department, Indiana State Police, Steuben County Sheriff's Department, Indiana Toll Road officials, Emergency Management Agency and Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
