Free Christmas trees now available at Community Harvest food bank

Trees are offered on a first-come, first-served basis while they last.

Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana now has free Christmas trees available for pickup in its parking lot on a first-come, first-served basis, a news release said.

Community Harvest is located at 999 E. Tillman Road. People don't need to check in at the food bank office.

The trees are provided courtesy of area Christmas tree growers. the news release said.

Community Harvest also plans to observe the following hours during the holidays so staff can spend time with their families. This includes all Farm Wagon distributions and the Community Cupboard.

*Friday: Closing at 11:30 a.m.

*Saturday: Open normal hours

*Christmas Eve, Dec. 24: Closed

*Christmas Day, Dec. 25: Closed

*Dec. 26 through Dec. 29: Open normal hours

*New Year's Eve, Dec. 31: Closed

*New Year's Day, Jan. 1: Closed
