Authorities have released the identity of a Fort Wayne man who was killed in a shooting Sunday evening.

The Allen County Coroner's Office said Jeremy Dewayne Crews, 25, was pronounced dead Sunday at Parkview Regional Medical Center after police found him in the 2500 block of South Hanna Street at about 7:50 p.m. The coroner's office said Crews' death was a homicide. The cause of his death was gunshot.

The Coroner's Office does not release the number of times a shooting victim was shot. However, a news release from Fort Wayne police said Crews appeared to have multiple gunshot wounds.

There is no suspect information at this time, according to the release, and the police department is seeking information about the incident. Those who can help can contact the Detective Bureau at 427-1201 or call Crime Stoppers.

Crews' death is the third homicide in Allen County in 2013. Fort Wayne Police, the Coroner's Office and the Allen County Prosecutor's Office are continuing to investigate the killing.
