An apartment in the heart of Warsaw – near several parks and a middle school – was raided Wednesday evening. Police said several active one-pot meth labs and materials used to make the drug were seized.

Foster M. Dutton, 39, of the 100 block of South Scott Street, was charged with manufacturing/dealing methamphetamine and possession of meth precursors, according to a written statement issued by the Warsaw Police Department. His bond was set at $20,000.

Officers served the warrant about 6 p.m. and reported finding the meth labs and items used to make meth, including an HCL generator, inside the apartment.

The police said two children, both teens, were removed from the home and their care was turned over to the Indiana Department of Child Services.

The charges against Dutton were enhanced, police said, because the apartment is close to Lakeview Middle School and several Warsaw parks.

The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team was called to assist local police with the cleanup.

Drug tips can be called into the Warsaw Police Department at 574-372-9538.
