An overturned semi has slowed southbound traffic on Interstate 69 at the south junction with I-469 near the GM plant. Emergency crews are working to clear the road and are allowing drivers to use the right berm to travel around the semi, according to an Indiana State Police news release at 11:05 a.m. Thursday.

Drivers are still encouraged to avoid this area and to seek an alternate route. No injuries were reported from the crash.

By 12:45 p.m. emergency crews had cleared the right southbound lane and traffic was starting to move slowly but smoothly, according to an update.

The left southbound lane will still be closed for an unknown amount of time as the trucking company makes arrangements to have a crew unload the trailer of its load of tractor parts and put it onto another trailer.

Drivers are asked to be observant for slowing or stopped traffic as well as emergency workers in and around the crash area.
