FORT WAYNE – The National Weather Service in northern Indiana says that snow accumulations of 5 to 7 inches are expected by Wednesday morning in the following counties:
- Indiana – Adams, Allen, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, Noble, Wabash, Wells and Whitley.
- Ohio – Paulding and Van Wert.
The winter storm warning for Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, Noble, Wabash and Whitley counties is in effect until 4 a.m. Wednesday. The warning for Allen, Adams and Wells counties, as well as Paulding and Van Wert counties in Ohio, is until 7 a.m. Wednesday.Mercer County, Ohio, is in an area expected to get 5 to 8 inches of snow, and its warning continues until 1 p.m. Wednesday.
The remainder of the region, in a lesser winter weather advisory, is forecast to get 2 to 5 inches of snow.
As of 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Indiana Department of Transportation was saying that road conditions are "fair" throughout the region.
