Pullen, Ligocki tie for snowboard cross WCup win

VEYSONNAZ, Switzerland (AP) — World champion Alex Pullin of Australia and Mateusz Ligocki of Poland tied for victory in a snowboard cross World Cup on Saturday.

Nelly Moenne Loccoz of France won the women's race for her first World Cup victory.

Pullin, who has clinched his World Cup season title, and Ligocki could not be separated by a photo finish. Ligocki's victory was the second of his career, and first since 2008.

Austrian Alessandro Haemmerle placed third. Nick Baumgartner of the United States won the small final.

Moenne Loccoz, a former worlds silver medalist, edged World Cup standings leader Dominique Maltais of Canada into second place.

Eva Samkova of the Czech Republic was third.
