Popp joins Higher Education commission

John Popp, owner of Aunt Millie’s Bakeries, has been named to the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.

Gov. Mike Pence’s office announced Friday that several people have been appointed, effective July 1.

Popp is a Fort Wayne real estate developer, was president of the Allen County Park Board and served 16 years on the Southwest Allen County Schools board of education.

Others named to the commission were co-founder of E&A Industries Al Hubbard, of Indianapolis; A&R Logistics CEO Mark Holden, of West Lafayette; Purdue University North Central associate professor Jason Curtis; and Susana Duarte de Suarez, a Zionsville councilwoman.
